Oklahoma public schools now require students from kindergarten through middle school to complete a sex affidavit if they want to participate in school sports.

An affidavit form distributed by Woodall Public Schools as part of its 2022-23 sports policy began circulating on social media on July 28 after Erin Matson, executive director of Reproaction, a reproductive justice group, shared the form on his Twitter page.

“Do you understand what is going on? Matson tweeted. “It has nothing to do with encouraging girls to be athletes. It’s totalitarianism. It’s the white nationalist agenda. The anti-LGBTQ agenda. The anti-abortion agenda. It’s the same schedule.”

“Woodall Public Schools is following a new Oklahoma law, and the affidavit is required by state law, Woodall Schools Superintendent Ginger Knight told Fox News Digital via email. . The form requires the applicant to sign the form as well as a notary.

The law requires youth sports teams to base eligibility on “biological sex” rather than gender identity. The law specifies that sports designated “for girls, women or girls” will not be open to male students.
